Coenzyme CoQ10
Coenzyme Q10 (Со Q10), vitamin Q10 and ubicinon are different names of one substance known in biochemistry from a very long time. Coenyme Q10 is a normal composition of the human body. It is synthesizes in the liver of all mammals and the most vertebral, it founds in plants in small amounts, too. The human liver produces only Coenzyme Q10.
The Coenzyme Q10 examines in the context of cells and outer- cells antioxidants, because they have similar effect upon free radicals. The antioxidants are a huge group of substances whose antioxidant effect is their main characteristic or appears according to their dose and way of appliance. Vitamins A, E, C, some microelements-selenium, zinc and other, the normal organism compositions- albumin, glucocorticoids and many others have strong antioxidant effect, which is used in the medicine from a log time. For distance Co Q10 possesses some specific features, theoretically and practically proofed.
The Q10 as a fat soluble substance penetrates without problem through the cell membranes, as its biochemical place is the mitochondrial oxidized-reduced chain, where plays a crucial role. The oxidized-reduced chain is the final and energetically most considerable stage of the aerobic catabolism. In the mitochondrial oxidized-reduced chain accomplishes gradual hydrogen and oxygen binding to the final product water. This process is a consecutively electron and proton transferring between two main enzyme groups and ubichinon takes intermediate place among them. Its function turns coenzyme Q10 in the limiting element in oxidized-reduced chain. The main result of oxidized-reduced chain is a macro-energetic compound development, namely adenosinethreephosphate, which is a universal energy source for every cell and almost for every biochemical energy dependent process. So the coenzyme Q10 deficiency will leads to decreased adenosinethreephosphate production and to different variable consequences.
